The Meeting that Wasn't

It turns out that the meeting we thought we were arranging was actually being arranged by Brian and Jennifer's case worker.  There are a lot of players involved so it is not an easy task but will probably take place later this week.  The case worker worked with Jennifer today to get guardianship powers through the court.  They had neither power of attorney or a will so this will help Jennifer do business.

Ray and Darlene spent a good part of the day at the hospital and it is evident that the prognosis is not good for Brian.  We will not know the facts  that support that prognosis until we meet with the specialists later this week.  Of course there is time and room for God to surprise us all in the meantime.  Pray that His will be done on this piece of  "earth" named Brian.

  1. But we are praying daily for Brian and the rest of the family in this tragic time.
The last blog certainly did not sound very good.
I trust Billy is doing OK thru this.
We love you folks up there.

  2. I wanted to let Jennifer and the kids to know that we are praying for them. If there is anything else that we can do let us know.
Also, my mom's church in Florida is praying as well.

  4. Dear friends and family of Brian and Jen, Karianne and Joseph,

I am praying fervently in the Spirit for God to restore Brian to his family. I do pray for God to surprise us. I'm "knocking on His door" regularly. I'm pleading to the Father to heal Brian.

I do trust with all my heart that God's perfect plan will be done in the DeVilbiss family. I do trust that His ways are higher than our ways.

I know that Jesus wants us to come to Him and ask Him with a pure and contrite heart, and with faith for anything. May our desires glorify God and may He grant them in regards to this precious family. I pray that God would restore Brian to his family.

I love you Jen and Karianne and Joseph

  5. You all are dealing with a very difficult situation, and I'm concerned about Brian. I do pray God's will be done--and I also tell God my desires for Brian and that I know He is a God of miracles. My KJV Bible is on my kitches counter open to Isaiah 41:10, 13. Many times I stop and pray those words for you all--praying God will say that to you and do that for you. I shall continue to pry regarding the meeting to come, for strength, wisdom and God's peace. Love you all Aunt Frances

  6. Hello Jennifer,
It was so good to see you in church on Sunday. I wanted to tell you that I love you and am praying for you, but didn't get to talk to you. Take care of yourself, love on your kids and trust in God.
My favorite scripture is Romans 11:36 "For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things; to whom be glory for ever. Amen." This verse helps me to realign my thinking when life gets complicated.
    We are praying for you.
